Everything You Need to Recover

Spa Pool
Open to the house and deck, the spa pool seats four and offers an easy space to connect. It’s where people naturally unwind, drop their shoulders, and watch the stars after a big day. Thanks to Alexandra’s low light pollution, the view overhead is just as good as the soak.

Cedar Sauna
Cedar, properly hot, and completely private. The sauna is for one person at a time, with the door shut and nobody able to reach you. Book twenty minutes, close the door, and let everything else wait.

Cinema Room
The Yellow Room becomes a home cinema with comfortable seating, bean bags, a proper screen, and room to eat in front of it without anyone judging you. When screens are the last thing you want, there are board games instead.

Meditation Cave
A quiet place in the garden to sit, breathe, think, or do absolutely nothing. Some of the best recovery here isn’t equipment at all. It’s simply having somewhere quiet to disappear for a while.

Courtyard Dining
A long table, late sun, shelter from the wind, and the smell of something cooking. It’s an easy place to sit with a takeaway, talk about the day, or simply stay there longer than you planned.

Bike Care Hub
Dry, warm, and well-lit, the bike workshop intentionally shares space with the gym. You can work on your ride out of the elements, even while someone else finishes a set nearby.

Full Laundry
Washer, dryer, and drying racks included. Wash your riding kit easily so it’s fresh and ready for tomorrow’s trail.

Fiber Internet
High-speed fiber Wi-Fi reaches across the property. Catch up on work, stream with ease, or drop your phone in the room and head down to the river instead.

Games Room
Perfect for nights off your phone. Grab a seat in the Yellow Room, pick a game, and see where a little low-stakes fun takes you.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long should I stay to recover properly?
There isn’t a required number of nights. Stay long enough to slow down and enjoy the place. Some people will want the sauna and an early night. Others will spend half a day on the deck doing very little. That’s recovery too.
Can I combine recovery stays with active days?
Absolutely. Ride, walk, explore, or spend the morning doing very little. Come back for warm water, the sauna, a stretch, or a quiet evening on the deck.
Is this just for cyclists?
No. You don’t need to be an athlete to use any of this. You just need to be tired. The gym, sauna, spa, stretching space, good beds, quiet corners, and river setting are there for anyone who needs to slow down.
What if I'm not riding the next day?
That’s exactly when you might want to do less. Sit in the courtyard. Stretch on the gym floor. Take a sauna. Walk down to the river. Read on the covered deck. Or do absolutely nothing. You don’t have to fill every day.
What's the best time to visit for recovery?
October–April (spring through autumn) offers stable weather and active cycling. June–August (winter) brings clear skies and fewer crowds. Recovery happens year-round. Pick a season that matches your energy and the trails you’re riding.
